Massachusetts Workers' Compensation Rate Filing - 2011

The following is a timeline of the 2011 Rate Filing Process with links to the underlying documents.

MARCH

03/01/2011 - The WCRIBMA submits a Rate Filing (Filing) to the Division of Insurance on behalf of its members recommending a 6.6% increase in average rates for industrial classes and a 20.0% increase for F-Classes. The WCRIBMA files no change to expense constants. The proposed effective date of this filing is September 1, 2011.

03/02/2011 - The WCRIBMA reaches an agreement with the State Rating Bureau in the Division of Insurance and the Office of the Attorney General to maintain rates at current levels through August 31, 2012. Circular announces submission of the Rate Filing and Stipulation (Circular Letter #2171).

03/02/2011 - The WCRIBMA issues a Circular with the Notice of Hearing (Circular Letter #2172).

APRIL

04/19/2011 - The Commissioner of Insurance approves the Stipulation. The WCRIBMA issues a Circular with a copy of the Commissioner's Decision and the Stipulation (Circular Letter #2177).

04/27/2011 - The WCRIBMA issues a Circular with the revised Guidelines for Workers' Compensation Rate Deviation Filings (Circular Letter #2178).
