Massachusetts Workers' Compensation Rate Filing - 2014

The following is a timeline of the 2014 Rate Filing Process with links to the underlying documents.

DECEMBER

12/27/2013 - The WCRIBMA submits a Rate Filing (Filing) to the Division of Insurance on behalf of its members recommending a 7.7% increase in average rates for industrial classes and a 13.4% decrease for F-Classes. The WCRIBMA files no change to expense constants. The proposed effective date of this filing is January 1, 2014.

12/27/2014 - Circular announces submission of the Rate Filing and a Pending Premium Change Endorsement(Circular Letter #2230).

JANUARY

01/08/2014 - The WCRIBMA issues a Circular with the Notice of Hearing (Circular Letter #2231).

01/17/2014 - The Office of the Attorney General submits a notice of intent to appear and participate as a statutory intervenor (Notice).

MARCH

03/21/2014 - The Commissioner of Insurance approves the Stipulation. The WCRIBMA issues a Circular with a copy of the Commissioner's Decision and the Stipulation (Circular Letter #2236).  The filing exhibits have been revised to reflect the stipulation (Filing Exhibits Revised with Stipulation).

03/21/2014 - The WCRIBMA issues a Circular with Changes in Manual Rates by Class and Effects of April 1, 2014 Rate Change (Circular Letter #2237).

03/21/2014 - The WCRIBMA issues a Circular with Manual Rates and Rating Values effective April 1, 2014 (Circular Letter #2238).

03/21/2014 - The WCRIBMA issues a Circular with the revised Guidelines for Workers' Compensation Rate Deviation Filings (Circular Letter #2239).

03/28/2014 - The WCRIBMA issues a Circular with a reminder on the filing requirements for Rate Deviation Filings (Circular Letter #2240).
