Data Operations Coordinator

We are seeking a Data Operations Coordinator to work as part of a team that collects and processes workers’ compensation policy, statistical and financial data. The Data Operations Coordinator communicates with WCRIBMA customers in response to inquiries and requests. This position is a hybrid role that allows for mostly remote work, with in-office time in our convenient downtown Boston location.
Primary Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
- Process work queue items related to policies, reports, and ratings.
- Review acknowledgement forms and financial data calls.
- Respond to customers’ (e.g., insurance companies, insurance agents, employers) requests and inquiries regarding data reporting procedures and programs in accordance with manuals and established procedures.
- Maintain an accurate log of edit failures, bureau, and carrier correspondences for assigned insurance carriers in accordance with established guidelines.
- Assist in the data reconciliation process.
- Assist in administering the Data Quality Incentive and Data Quality Compliance Programs.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Assist in testing edits, applications, and system changes.
- Assist in the maintenance of edits.
- Assist in writing procedures and propose changes to expedite workflow and staff efficiency.
- Handle other assignments as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalency required.
- Years of experience
- Experience in computer applications, especially Microsoft Office products.
- Proficient verbal and written communication and people skills.
- Ability to sit and remain in a stationary position for 90% of the time.
- Ability to operate a computer and other office productivity equipment as needed.
- Ability to read and create both physical and electronic documents.
- Ability to effectively communicate with others both inside and outside the organization on the telephone, in writing, and in person.
- Ability to think analytically, concentrate on assigned tasks, observe, and remember detail, and make decisions sufficient to meet the requirements of this position.
- Ability to travel occasionally as needed.
