Data Operations Coordinator

We are seeking a Data Operations Coordinator to work as part of a team that collects and processes workers’ compensation policy, statistical and financial data. The Data Operations Coordinator communicates with WCRIBMA customers in response to inquiries and requests. This position is a hybrid role that allows for mostly remote work, with in-office time in our convenient downtown Boston location.

Primary Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

  • Process work queue items related to policies, reports, and ratings.
  • Review acknowledgement forms and financial data calls.
  • Respond to customers’ (e.g., insurance companies, insurance agents, employers) requests and inquiries regarding data reporting procedures and programs in accordance with manuals and established procedures.
  • Maintain an accurate log of edit failures, bureau, and carrier correspondences for assigned insurance carriers in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Assist in the data reconciliation process.
  • Assist in administering the Data Quality Incentive and Data Quality Compliance Programs.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Assist in testing edits, applications, and system changes.
  • Assist in the maintenance of edits.
  • Assist in writing procedures and propose changes to expedite workflow and staff efficiency.
  • Handle other assignments as required.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalency required.
  • Years of experience
  • Experience in computer applications, especially Microsoft Office products.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication and people skills.
  • Ability to sit and remain in a stationary position for 90% of the time.
  • Ability to operate a computer and other office productivity equipment as needed.
  • Ability to read and create both physical and electronic documents.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with others both inside and outside the organization on the telephone, in writing, and in person.
  • Ability to think analytically, concentrate on assigned tasks, observe, and remember detail, and make decisions sufficient to meet the requirements of this position.
  • Ability to travel occasionally as needed.
